Uniontown is in the area called the Palouse, known for the rolling hills used for dry-land grain farming. The town has the advantages of a rural community with the benefits of an urban region including Pullman, Washington 15 miles northwest; Moscow, Idaho 16 miles northeast; Lewiston, Idaho 14 miles southeast; and Clarkston, Washington 16 miles south.
